Unicorn Tack is an Equestrian Shop in Kwa-Zulu Natal, just a stones-throw away from the well known Durban Shongweni Club Showgrounds.
Unicorn Tack has been one of the leading equestrian stores in KZN for more than 10 years, growing in leaps and bounds as each year passes, supplying riders from all around South Africa, including Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Mauritius, with top quality equestrian equipment for their horses, their stable yards, and rider wear for themselves.
Owner Chris Mudgway, an avid equestrian herself, started the Unicorn Tack brand some years ago, which has developed into one of the leading lines in South Africa. Starting with just a few products which she sold to local yards and out of pop-up shops at show venues, she has grown and now has a store situated in a beautiful “Country Like” shopping centre, with a very well stocked and neat showroom.
Chris and the Unicorn Tack Team are all very involved with the design and creation of the products such as Saddlepads, Leather Short Boots, Leather Tall Boots, and some of the countries most durable and affordable rugs. Always taking into consideration any feedback from customers which is very important, as at the end of the day they are the ones that need to feel they have purchased only the best.
The Unicorn Tack brand has become extremely popular over the years and with the introduction of the online store it is now easily accessible to equestrians all over Africa. The store has a wide variety to cater for all riders, from those just starting up and leisure riders, to the Open Showjumpers and Dressage Riders.
One of the most exciting introductions Unicorn Tack has had, was the privilege of introducing the LeMieux brand and bringing it to South Africa. With 80% of their product range under our roof and online it sure has been fun.
